Nowadays, the ability to exchange data between various applications or systems is a key requirement, including for a reservation system. For example, you might want to offer your customers the option to book online, pay for reservations directly online, integrate i-Reserve with your administrative or accounting system, or add reservations to your Outlook calendar.

The i-Reserve reservation system supports various integrations: API integrations, import/export integrations, native integrations, and integrations through an integration platform like MS Flow or Zapier. Native integrations are already built into the reservation system by default. All you have to do is set them up!

Integrations provide a more complete system and take even more work off your hands. We have native integrations with various payment providers , and with import/export integrations, you can integrate your i-Reserve environment with your accounting system . Integrations are also possible for office tools and calendars . Native integrations are also available for leisure . Want to take things a step further? Then you can fully automate everything by linking access control

As a team, we're constantly looking for ways to improve our software and adding new integrations. Is the application you'd like to exchange data with missing from this list? Contact us and inquire about the possibilities. We're happy to advise you!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does an integration work?

There are several ways to integrate i-Reserve with other software. Each technique has advantages and disadvantages.

Native
A native connection is fully integrated into i-Reserve and can usually be configured with parameters.
Difficulty level:
Example: most payment providers are natively integrated

Import/Export:
Data is exported from the source system and imported into the target system via an export file.
When using i-Reserve
When using i-Reserve
Difficulty level:
Example: most administrative integrations are import/export, with i-Reserve handling the export.

Microsoft Flow (PowerAutomate)
i-Reserve can be connected to the Flow platform via a special connector . All other software that also has such a connector can now be connected to i-Reserve .
This makes the possibilities virtually endless.
Difficulty level:
Example: Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook

Hooks:
A hook is a response (action) to a specific event (trigger). For example, creating or updating a reservation. A set of data can then be sent to a location somewhere on the internet. This is usually an application that processes the incoming hook directly. The reverse is also possible: i-Reserve can process incoming hooks, provided the fields conform to the names used in i-Reserve . This usually requires a programmatic approach.
Difficulty level:

Can import/export integrations be automated?

To a certain extent, these types of connections can be automated. If the export is made from i-Reserve , an export file is created based on a filter. This filter can be scheduled. Scheduling means that you can set the time at which the filter is created periodically, for example, daily at 1:00 AM. A filter can then be sent to email or an FTP location.

Depending on the target system, the file will be read automatically or manual action will be required.

The other way around: the import option in i-Reserve can also be scheduled. This usually happens with FTP. An import can then take place automatically. In these cases, a manual import must have been performed at least once to ensure the import definitions are saved.

What types of import options are there?

Data import is possible for the following contexts:

  • Customers
  • Companies
  • Contact details (email, telephone)
  • Reservations
  • Additional consumption
  • Custom tables

Can every system be linked to a reservation system?

Not every system can be integrated. The techniques we know are API and import/export (batch-oriented), so you transport and import at a specific time. i-Reserve is an open system, and whether a system can be integrated depends on the other system:

  • The system must be suitable for this, so it must be open
  • Whether there is already a connection with, for example, Microsoft Flow
  • It depends on which technique can be used for coupling
  • Depending on the coupling technique, you will need to have someone in-house who has some knowledge of coupling technology
